Do any of you use mini practice amps for practicing or as a monitor while rehearsing? I'm referring to amps like a:

How mini does it need to be? The Vox Pathfinder 15R sounds fabulous, is very portable and goes for about $120 just about everywhere...

I used mine as an onstage monitor for a couple of years, DI'd to the PA. That's one of its advantages - the line out does not mute the internal speaker. Super little amp.

I have a Vox DA5 and I love it. It is very versatile, sounds good (when someone other than me plays it) and fits perfectly on a shelf in my office...

I have a Squier 10W thing that lives under my desk at home.

I usually use one of my other amps to practice though

I plan to go check some of these out at my local guitar store. I would like to also check out the Orange Crush 10 since someone suggested it and I do love the color orange! 8-)

I use the Vox Amplug with my iPod and headphones. That way I can practice late while the wife and kids are in bed.

I ended up picking up a little Orange Crush 10w from eBay. It's exactly what I was looking for.

I have a couple of polycarbonate little smokey amps and they are great for little late night practice. You can throw one in your case and take it anywhere. You can even drive a bigger cab with it....no clean though....all gritty tones.

Not for me.... my kids moved out, and my wife turns up the TV when I rehearse with my guitar/amps.

I have one of these from Pig Nose Amps. I play on it with just my Strat plugged in (no effects). It's got a great clean tone and distorts nicely when you turn it up. It's also pretty inexpensive ($74).
